SAUSAGE LINKS ON A STICK

by Ted Peterson
Another appetizer that can be at most parties are small sausage links that are picked up with a tooth pick. These are the small smoked sausage links that are about 3/4 inch long.
Here is a good recipe that will go over good. It has a spicy sweet and sour taste.
1 pound of small smoked sausage links. This can be from two 6oz packages or small cans.
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder.
1/3 cup vinegar.
3 tablespoons honey.
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon shredded orange peel.
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
pepper to taste.
8 oz can pineapple chunks.
Open the pineapple and save the chunks but save the syrup for the use as a sauce. If you can get some pineapple liquid use it but it will be better to use the chunks later. Add water to the liquid to make 1/2 cup. Add vinegar. honey, soy sauce, cornstarch, orange peel, ginger, garlic powder, and pepper. Cook until thickened and bubbly.
Mix in the small sausage links and cook until hot and then add the pineapple chunks and then cook until hot. At this point eat with toothpicks.
Good luck.
