BEEF STROGANOFF.

by Ted Peterson
One of the old time favorites is beef stroganoff.
1 tablespoon cooking oil.
3/4 cup water.
1 can mushrooms (2 1/2 oz.) or 2 1/4 cups fresh mushrooms.
1 lb boneless beef round steak.
8 oz sour cream.
2 tablespoons flour.
1 envelope onion soup mix.
Cut meat into strips 1/4 inch thick. Brown meat in oil. If you are using fresh mushrooms remove the meat and cook the mushrooms until tender.
Now put the meat back in and add the water.(if you are using the canned mushroom add them here). Stir in the soup mix and heat to boiling. Now stir the sour cream and flour in a bowl. Now stir this into the mixture. Cook until thickened and bubbly. Cook for 1 1/2 minutes more. Serve over hot cooked noodles. If you do not have noodles you can subitute. rice.
Good luck.
