| 1/2 lb ground beef. (optional) |
| 1 can tomato paste. |
| 1 (16 oz.) can tomato juice. |
| 2 medium diced onions. |
| 1 clove minced garlic. |
| 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. |
| dash cayenne pepper. |
| 1 teaspoon basil. |
| 1/2 teaspoon sugar. |
| 1/2 teaspoon salt. |
| 1/4 teaspoon pepper. |
| 1 tablespoon chili sauce. |

| If you want to add the beef, add it now and brown it with the onion and garlic in hot oil. Now add all the other items and bring it to boiling and then simmer for 30 min. Serve it hot over macaroni or spaghetti. For show, most people will sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. |
