TED'S SALADS

by Ted Peterson
The web page is an article on how to make a good salad. For years I have been making a salad that would use almost all the items in my ice box. I had so many different items in the salads that no one could tell me what they were eating.
If you have another good article that would fit into this site send to the e-mail address at the end of this page.
1/2 bag of lettuce. See below.
1/2 large onion chopped.
1/2 cup frozen small peas.
2 6oz can tuna. (optional)
3 eggs. (optional)
1 cup cooked macaroni. (optional)
1 stick of celery.
1/2 cup of assorted frozen veg.
1/2 teaspoon horseradish. (optional)
1/2 teaspoon Dijon Mustard or a can of kippered snacks packed with Dijon mustard sauce.
Any fruit that you have in the refrigerator. (optional)
Mayonnaise or salad dressing as required.
The lettuce that I use is the small pkg. that stores sells for about $1.29. Some times they have them on sale for $1.00 and the other day one of the large stores sold them for $.69 ea.
The options listed above as tuna, macaroni, and eggs are for the different salads that you are trying to make. If you want to use 2 or more of them in the same salad you can. I have used all of them in a salad.
Some people will not want to use horseradish. You can skip this. Some horseradish is HOT, HOT.
On the Dijon Mustard I do not have any so as I had the kippered snacks that were packed in Dijon and I used it.
One time I wanted to use hot sauce and did not have any I had an old can of kippered snacks that was packed in HOT HOT sauce and used it. I have added any thing that I had in the refrigerator. Try different things.
At this point make up your mind on what type of salad you want. If you want a tossed salad and let the people use different dressing you can. If you want to add mayonnaise now and use it like you use egg salad you can.
Good luck.
