TOMATO and MUSTARD SAUCE.

This web page is two old time recipe for different types of sauces. The first one is a standard tomato sauce and the 2nd one is a mustard sauce.

TOMATO SAUCE.
7 basil leaves.
1 finely chopped onion.
6 tablespoon virgin olive oil.
12-15 oz can diced tomatoes and juice.
Pepper to taste.
Salt to taste.
Heat the oil and add the onion. Stirring until soft or about 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes and juice and simmer gentlyy for about 11 minutes.
Now stir in the basil, salt, and pepper. You now have a good basic tomato sauce.
MUSTARD SAUCE.
2 cup sour cream.
2 tablespoon mustard.
1/4 cup mayonnaise.
Salt to taste.
Pepper to taste.
Mix all the ingredients . Chill for more then 1 hour before using.
