Undisclaimed, several parts of my website and blog could expose me to considerable liability. I've also run into problems with unauthorized reposting of my web pages, which is of concern to me as some of the photographs which have posted here have also been reproduced in limited print runs for gallery sales. Thus, I've decided to set out the terms under which my web pages can be used. To wit:

My privacy policy is very simple. I get way too much spam and junk mail, and am not about to inflict more on anyone else. Unless you solicit it, you won't get email or mail from me, and I'll do as much as I reasonably can to keep others from getting access to your information. However, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT include credit card numbers or other billing information in anything you send me. My network access is presently such that I consider physical isolation necessary for adequate protection of highly sensitive data and I do not currently maintain an off network system for handling such data.

Over the years, I've done thousands of dollars worth of business over the Internet, both as a buyer and as a seller, and am well aware of the importance of mutual trust in such transactions. Terms and conditions of sale go along with my price lists, so there's no need to get into them here, but I do have two observations for the net. First, I consider my reputation my primary business asset, both as an engineer and as a photographer. My goal is to provide such great service that all your friends end up doing business with me as well, and I'm pleased to say that a couple of my previous customers have written back after getting their orders and said I've been person they've ever worked with on-line. I hope to keep this up. Second, I have been ripped off. Not badly, but having your erstwhile customers bounce their checks and abscond with your merchandise is not pleasant. I have absolutely zero desire to repeat this experience, and even less desire to have something equivalent happen to someone who's been kind enough to pay me some of their hard earned bucks.
