He ended up losing both throwing axes and his rope, along with the arrows he used. After a quick meal, prepared to leave. "Be back in a little while, I have a few supplies to pick up." Actually, Rhoan also wanted to step out to do some thinking. He was a little nervous about the upcoming encounter. For some reason, Seer and the Wasters have take it upon themselves to make life difficult. They had only just clashed on the Rameshander kidnapping affair, yet Seer had taken great pains to lure him into that house trap. Did Seer actually fear Rhoan and want to keep him from joining Kron, or was Rhoan being manipulated then and now into joining this quest. Seer supposidly knows all that goes on and isn't stupid. He had to know help was in the area and that there was a means of contacting that help. Only Seer would know, and surely when they meet, he can't be trusted to tell the truth unless it serves him. Another problem the upcoming meaning posed was how would Rhoan react to Seer. Rhoan in not a vengeful man and has sworn not to kill unless necessary, but Seer was definitely dangerous and evil, and possibly mad. Does such a man deserve mercy? Rhoan stopped at a shop a few blocks down. While not the best quality, the weapons there where servicable. Rhoan pick out two decent trowing axes and a dozen arrows. He also grabed another length of rope with a good grapling hook at the end. As he walked back to the pub, Rhoan came to a decision. He perferred not to use magic whenever possible. Most of what he had was one time shots that he liked to save for dire emergencies. He carried the runesticks given to him by his first love as they were forced (for the better) their seperate ways. His battle-axe, a family treasre, had a little magic when called upon. This did not seem enough. Rhoan walked into a deserted ally, looking around to make sure he was not followed. When sure, Rhoan pulled out a foot long runestick, who's twin sat half a day's ride away planted in the ground in the middle of Rhoan's camp. Rhoan stuck the stick in the ground and moved to go past it. Suddenly he was in the middle of a small grove of trees along the river. Lathlin and Patch where nowhere to be seen, probably out hunting. Some help they would have been if Rhoan needed them. Rhoan moved over to his pile of belongings. Everything was as he left it. Rhoan pulled a blanket wrapped bundle and unwound it. Inside was a magnificent looking true-silvered maine-gouche. A little showy for Rhoan's taste, but a magificent weapon. Rhoan re-wrapped it, tied a thong around both ends, and slung it over his shoulder. From a small pouch Rhoan dumped four rings and a clasp. After careful thinking, Rhoan chose one of the rings and placed the rest in a pouch. Lasly, grabbed a single jet black cestus and put it on his left fore-arm. Now ready, Rhoan stepped back over the runestick and was back in Generica. Rhoan carefully pulled out the stick in the ally and placed it in his cloak. Rhoan returned to the just in time to join the group as they head upstairs. For some reason, Azzar is asleep and only partly covered. All except Thk seem to showing various degrees of anxiety. ########## ########## Rhoan Pathkeeper ---------------------------------------------------- ########## "There can be only one!" / ########## -Highlander /
