Pins
There are really two constants in bowling: Pins and Balls. So, here are some from the collection...
This first entry is an AMF pin from the late 50's to early 60's. A standard pin for the time with the exception of the clear coat over the wood core rather than the normal white coating. As was common for the time, the pin core was turned from a solid block of maple.

Next is an contemporary AMF pin. Also with the clear coat over the wood core rather than the normal white coating. Note however that the core is now made up of laminated blocks rather than being solid.

Now, for comparison is an AMF pin of the same vintage with the standard white shell.
Souvenir AMF pin from the 1990(???) ABC Tournament in Reno, Nevada. This pin also has the clear coat over the wood core rather than the normal white coating.

A recent vintage souvenir Brunswick 'Max' pin signed by PBA touring pro Mike Aulby. This pin differs from the standard regulation 'Max' pin in its markings, and the coating is a matted finish rather than the normal smooth gloss finish. This finish is intended to allow ink to bond better than the gloss finish would allow.

Standard (well used) Brunswick 'Max' pin

Brunswick 'Gold Crown' pin

Brunswick 'Score King' pin

'Vulcan' sales model pin
About 1/2 the size of a regulation pin, this clear coated example from Vulcan is frequently given out as demos at equipment/proprietors trade shows.

AMF commorative pin
This pin was given out at the opening of the first center (in Buffalo, NY) equipped with (production) automatic pinspotters.

AMF Promotional Photos
These are part of a set of promotional photos that AMF sent to centers to generate interest in upgrading to the then new automatic pinspotter technology. I have five of what appear to have originally been a sixteen picture set with typed descriptions taped to the bottom of each picture.

If anyone has the rest of the set, I would love to either obtain them or get copies (print or electronic)
