BUT, DON'T follow Google's lead. Drive the back roads. Excellent highways, a real pothole experience (prairie pothole, not road) with no traffic and large vistas. This is one of the areas where Ducks Unlimited has done such wonderful work over the last century restoring wildlife habitat. Any of the roads shown here will get you to Wainwright just as fast and far more enjoyably. Please excuse the gigantic farms, but that's what DU was working with. You can't get lost. There aren't enough roads for that.
